These are the plain-language terms for using the Very Good Photo Backup app and this website. We've kept them short and readable. This is meant to be clear and honest, not formal legal advice.

The app is a tool you run yourself

Very Good Photo Backup is a tool that runs on your own device and copies your photos to a USB-C drive you own. You choose the drive, you keep the drive, and you're responsible for looking after it and the files on it. The app copies your photos; it's up to you to store the drive somewhere safe and to check that your backup has what you need.

Provided "as is"

The app and this website are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We've worked hard to make the app reliable and to make backup read-only and restore add-only, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or work perfectly in every situation. A backup is one copy of your photos, not a guarantee against every possible loss — keeping more than one copy of anything irreplaceable is always wise.

Some pages link to products on Amazon. Those are third-party sites with their own terms and privacy practices, and we don't control them. Some Amazon links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

To the extent the law allows, Agentic Labs LLC isn't liable for lost data or other damages arising from your use of the app or this website. In plain terms: please keep your own backups of anything you can't afford to lose, and treat this app as one helpful copy rather than your only one.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
